Delved deep into CNT “Cold Cathode” X-ray Tubes

To further enhance performance, the NuRay team developed a proprietary fabrication process for CNT cathodes, creating “ultra-pure, few-walled” carbon nanotubes that raised cold cathode operating currents to the hundred-milliampere level. Leveraging the intrinsic advantages of CNT cold cathode technology—room-temperature electron emission and instantaneous response—the team also pioneered constant-current control technology, enabling highly stable, repeatable emission, extended operational lifetime, and new levels of performance reliability.

Global Leading Multi-Beam Technology

NuRay pioneered “cathode–anode pair” array technology, achieving for the first time a high-density arrangement of hundreds of focal spots within a single vacuum chamber. This significantly enhances angular imaging information, enabling richer and more complete spatial data acquisition. Each focal spot can also be independently operated and rapidly switched under software control, allowing fast multi-angle imaging without mechanical movement. This innovation overcomes the speed and performance limitations of traditional 3D imaging and ushers in a new paradigm of static, multi-angle X-ray imaging.

From Multi-Beam X-ray Tubes to Static 3D Imaging

CNT “Cold Cathode” technology is the foundation for developing multi-beam X-ray tubes, which are crucial for achieving static 3D imaging. Unlike traditional CT devices that scan by rapidly rotating a large and heavy X-ray tube, in a static CT system, multi-beam X-ray tubes can achieve sequential emission of X-rays from multiple angles by the arrangement of source array. This allows for capturing multiple angle images without mechanical movement, and 3D imaging is achieved through algorithms, delivering unprecedented imaging performance.
